Bread Pudding With Lemon Sauce

I’m jobless, and it’s the weekend. Which means I have time to think up recipes for you guys 🙂

This was incredibly easy, and I made it has healthy as possible. This recipe does have sugar and butter in it, but very little amounts, I swear. 🙂

You’ll need:

(for the bread pudding)

– 2 slices of whole wheat bread 

– 1 egg

– 1 tbsp sugar

– 2 tbsp milk

– 1 tbsp butter

For the sauce

– 1 tbsp butter

– 1 tbsp honey

– 1 tbsp sugar

– 2 tbsp lemon juice 


– Mix the egg, milk and sugar mixture till the sugar is dissolved and add melted butter to it. Then top it over the shredded pieces of bread and pop it in the oven for about 5-10 minutes. It depends on the oven, my oven took 10 minutes to fully cook it, so keep an eye on your pudding 🙂

– While the pudding is becoming pudding in the oven, take a sauce pan and add all the ingredients needed for the sauce and mix it over a low flame till everything is nice and bubbled up. Switch of the flame with all the sugar is dissolved. 

– Top the sauce over the pudding and then eat it. Obviously.
